School Construction
Building a New School
To build in this remote region, we mine our own sand and bring water a quarter mile uphill by bucket.
We make our own blocks, and carry rock by hand to the site.
The villagers, including women and children, are doing all the construction work.
Mules and human power bring cement bags and steel rebar one mile uphill
from the nearest roadhead.
